Why Repair, Rather than Replace?
When an oven breaks, it’s not because the whole machine is worn out. Usually, it’s just one part!
Replacing the broken part restores the machine’s function and extends its lifespan. It’s quick, better for the environment, and costs less than buying new.
Many people assume that repairs mean a long wait, but with our same and next-day slots, they are faster than a replacement.
When buying new, you have to go to shops, find a model, arrange delivery, and dispose of the old machine. It’s frustrating and time-consuming. When repairing, your machine can be back up and running the same day.
With a shorter wait time, lower costs, and less environmental impact, why wouldn’t you repair?

Common Oven Faults We Fix
Welcome to the wonderful world of oven faults. Below are some of the most common problems and how we fix them.
Ovens usually stop heating because of a tripped circuit breaker, a broken heating element, or a faulty temperature sensor. Once our engineers have had a proper look, they can identify the broken part before finding the best fix.
If your oven won’t switch on, it’s usually because of a faulty door switch, a wiring fault, or, in gas ovens, an ignition that’s given up.
Once our engineers have taken a proper look, they can find the right fix, so you’re not stuck reheating beans for the week.
Ovens are supposed to heat your food, not just the kitchen. If your oven door won’t shut, you might have a worn seal or hinge. Our engineers can replace the broken part.
A silent fan usually means the motor is worn out. Without it, heat doesn’t circulate properly, and cooking can become patchy. Our engineers can replace the motor so your oven can heat evenly again.
If one side of your dinner’s burning and the other’s still raw, you might have a faulty fan (in fan ovens) or an underperforming element. Our engineers can replace the faulty part so both sides cook at the same pace. No more patchy dinners or salmonella scares.
Grills often run separately from the main oven. If the grill has packed in, but the rest of the oven is working fine, then you likely have a problem with the grill element. Our engineers can replace the element so you can get back to crispy cheese on toast.
If the oven light isn’t working, it’s usually just a blown bulb. Though occasionally it’s the socket behind it. Either way, our engineers can get it fixed so you’re not cooking blind.
If your oven’s taking forever to heat, and your food forever to cook, you might have a failed heating element or thermostat. Our engineers can replace the faulty part.
How Much Does an Oven Repair Cost?
Price is where we differ most from other appliance repair companies.
We want our customers to feel comfortable and confident when booking repairs, not dreading final costs, fearing unplanned add-ons and sneaky fees.
That’s why we take a fixed-price approach. When you book with us, you know exactly what you will be charged before the repairs begin. Our repairs start at £99.
If we cannot repair the machine, you’re only charged for the diagnostic fee. The difference (£59) is refunded to you. And if the machine repair costs more than we quoted, that’s our cost to absorb, not yours.

The Process – Working with Repair & Maintain
Explain the Fault
Most people don’t know exactly what’s wrong with their machine, and that’s okay. Describe the fault you’re experiencing and share any error codes, and our team will be able to help.
We Book a Callout
We organise for an engineer to come to your home. They will identify the fault and either repair it on the first visit or identify which parts to order before booking a follow-up appointment.
Enjoy your Repair Guarantee
Your repair is guaranteed for 30 days from the fix. In the unlikely event that the initial fault recurs within this time, you’re entitled to a free follow-up repair.

Oven Repair FAQs
Find answers to commonly asked questions about our oven repairs.
-
Is it worth repairing my oven or should I replace it?
Whether you should repair or replace depends on the fault and the age of the oven. As a rule of thumb, if the cost of repair is more than half the price of a new machine, it’s usually worth replacing instead. Our engineers will always give you honest advice based on what they find. If the oven is not worth fixing, they will tell you openly.
-
Do you offer a warranty on oven repairs?
Every one of our repairs is covered by our trusted Repair Guarantee. If the same fault recurs within 30 days, we’ll come back and fix it again, completely free of charge.
-
Do you charge for the call-out if you can’t fix my oven?
If your oven is beyond repair, you’re only charged the diagnostic fee (£59), not the full repair cost. Our engineers will advise you once they have run the diagnostics.
-
Do you carry oven parts with you, or do you need to order them in?
Our engineers carry the most commonly needed parts, such as heating elements, gas igniters, and thermostats with them to fix many faults on the first visit. If a less common part is needed, we’ll order it in and book a prompt follow-up appointment.
-
How quickly can you come out to repair my oven?
We can often offer same and next-day appointments, but they’re offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If you need an urgent repair, let us know as early as possible.

What oven brands do you work on?
